* about venues: There has been some gentle, and quite reasonable, grumbling about the multiplicity of venues for our KWCMS concerts. One problem has been finding good venues with pianos of sufficient quality for our visiting artists. We’re aware of the potential confusion, we’re working toward narrowing down the list, and we appreciate your patience in the meantime!

Upcoming concerts:

Friday, November 6, Jessica Tong (violin), Michael Sheppard (piano), the Czech theme continues with Bartók’s Rhapsody #1 and Janáček’s Sonata, also Beethoven, Sonata #9, the “Kreutzer”

Monday, November 9, another world-renowned Czech artist! Boris Krainý (piano), music by Chopin, Debussy, Janáček, and Smetana.

Friday, November 20, Adam Zukiewicz (piano), with music by C.P.E. Bach, Haydn, and Chopin.
